Orange Prize Shortlist announced!

Extra Extra! The shortlist has officially been announced for this year’s Orange Prize for fiction. Launched in 1996, the prize celebrates excellence, originality and accessibility in women’s writing from throughout the world.  This year’s shortlist includes:

Room by Emma Donoghue 

A chilling story inspired by the Josef Fritzl case in Austria, also shortlisted for the MAN Booker prize last year. Paperback, £7.99.

The Memory of Love by Aminatta Forna
